Trying to figure out what a good starting offer on a car would be. It's a CPO 2005 3.0 Quattro in dolphin gray with platinum interior. The options are premium package, premium leather, cold weather, and Bose with XM. It's used with 17 miles on it according to the site, haven't contacted the dealer to verify. It's in IL. List price is $34,888.

I'd like to be able walk out at about 32k all taxes and fees included. I've bought one car in my life with the help of my dad, so not exactly versed in negotiations. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

search the forum, there was a thread about price negotiating.

basically find dealer invoice price, and go $500-800 above it, but do this at the end of a month when they are trying to get as most sales as possible. that was the consenus on that thread.
