Default Problem starting in the cold

This is my first post. Hello All.
I have a 2006 audi A4 quattro. It has problems starting when it is cold. Ill have to try 2 or 3 times, then it starts up right away. When I took it in months ago, the car didnt have a problem the night i left it at the dealer, but the day i went to get it, it did. They told me it may be a sensor or something......anyone with simillar problem?? possible diagnosis????
Thanks.

when starting don't press the accelerator peddle and don't pump it 2 or 3 times isn't that bad in very cold weather

Welcome to AF....

What kind of oil are you running in the car? Also what is the car and how many miles? New plugs might not hurt.

he car is not even a year old.I got it end of Feb last year. I have about 9000 miles on it.
I assume it has the synthetic oil, but i would need to find out the specifics of that and get back to ya.
thanks!

Id bring it to the dealer and make them fix it under warenty. But then again they will say nothing is wrong since the car will be warm and have no codes to read.

personally I would have them do a diagnostic on it and get a read out ( and get one for your self ) on paper so we can check it out for you, digi cam/scanner and post the results

Im in Massachusetts, where its been way warmer than average this winter. But there are signs of change. Yesterday when I left work it was 28 degrees and it had issues. Tomorrow the high wont even be 10 around here, coldest its been since ive had this car, so im a bit worried!
