Default problems after oil change

Hey everyone..... since i got an oil change for my car, the gas pedal has been sinking in more and more for the last five days. it stopped after sinking downwards about 1 1/2". The gas pedal is no longer flush with the brake and clutch pedal and when i floor it, my car doesnt pick up the speed very fast because the pedal is so close to the back. The rpm is higher than normal. It is at 3000 when im goin only about 65 mph. it used to be at 3000 when im at 80mph.Whats wrong with it? someone said it could of been the oil change, that the workers didnt use sythetic oil...?? Thx.

Try leting the throttle body adjust itself by turning on the car without starting it and let it sit there for a minute or two. You should hear a buzz noise from the engine. When the buzzing noise is gone, the throttle has adjust itself. Take it for a spin and see if that resolve your issue.

Is it 6 speed or 5 speed. I have a 03 1.8tq and my rpm is at 3000 when I driving at 65....I don't think that is unusal.

It sounds like the shop fuggered something up good, and that they weren't just changing your oil. How long ago was this?

It is a 5 speed. I didnt have this problem with the car until the oil change. I got the oil change about a month ago now....I brought it back to them and they said theres nothing wrong with it but hey, when its ur car, u know when something is wrong with it....Btw, if i bring it to audi dealer do they charge if i just want them to check it out? if there is a big problem with it then i'll get it fixed but so far the only thing bad about it is theres no power when i try to go faster....it crawls...lol
