is there a module that can be installed that could give the driver the option of locking and unlocking the diffs at will ?????like a true 4x4 ??

not that I am aware of, I'm just about posative the answer is no. I have heard of a rear wheel drive conversion, but not the option of both

i don't think any company would try to make something that like because of the nature of the awd.. in 4wd trucks its different because the front and rear are locked as it is. even if the front, or rear wheels were locked so that both spun at the same time, the power would still be distributed between the front and rear of the car. air lockers just don't make sense in an awd car. plus it'd probably just tear apart the transmission.

yea. but it wuz possible on the 1985-1986 ur audi. and it didnt break the transsmission that time.i'm sure some company has something like that..living in chicago it would be a great help to get all wheels spinning at the same time on the snow.

to have control in the really slick ****, all older audis came with it, from 84 even up in to the mid 90's , both of my other ones have it, the locking center diff is insane in the snow and dirt but itsa bitchon pavement

Ohh.. maybe just rip your tranny apart and get a locking center diff?
