Default Question about a greddy Exhaust System : /

Hello everyone, I have been looking for a exhaust system for my 1997 2.8 12V A4, i cant seem to find any for the 2.8s other then the Milltek sport one (http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust....fm?variantid=7). Its a bit pricey for me at $1000 and it has a silencer witch I don’t really like. However, the Greddy exhaust system (http://www.optionimports.com/grg2euexsya42.html) is half the price. What I’m wondering is, is it going to fit if I have a 1997 A4 when the exhaust says 98-01? Also, I hate that oval tip they have on the Greddy exhaust. I know I’m being picky with a car that doesn’t have many options but any advice will be helpful.

unfortunately you are pretty limited and as far as the year differance, i think it is beacuse they changed the positioin of the hangers and path of the pipe slightly, so it could fit with some mdification. If the after market stuff doesn't suit you dont forget you could get a custom set up for 500 or less.

Do you mean people that sell their own cat backs? I have no experience with welding or bending metal so I would need to buy it off of someone that can. If you have any links to anyone that sells them I would appreciate it.

What he means is you buy a Magnaflow muffler, and resonator(or in your case not) and take it to an exhaust shop to have them bend you piping and weld it all on.
