Hi, this is a stupid question, but i am looking at getting a used a4 1.8t quattro, and i was wondering are the 97-01's all the same, and then the 02-up all the same? Like I said dumb question, but I need to know to help me decide. thanks. oh yeah, another dum question but what yrs are the b5 and what yrs are the b6?

 

96-01 are b5's and 02-05 b6 and 05.....b7 the 96-99 have 150 BHP and 00 and on have 170 BHP

The 00 + do not have 170HP stock
Its 02-05 with the 170HP. Hate to break it to you , but your car is 150hp stock.

 

David they upped the horse power for 01 the last year of the B5 to 170 BHP sorry to burst the bubble. Also the B5 had a face lift in 99.5

 

yea and my 1.8T sign has that little red thing next to it so it's 170 HP

 

My 2000 was 150 until I chipped it.
