Radio Code Problem!
I just changed my battery for my audi a4 2.8. It knocked out my radio and is asking for a code. The problem with that is I DON"T HAVE THE CODE because my cousin, the previous owner, bought this off an auction and he said he did not see any code or anything in the manual. I called up the Audi dealership, and they said it will cost about 60 dollars to get the code back. If you guys know any other way to go around with out costing 60+, let me know. Thanks!
the code is in the audio manual - if you don't have the manual then the dealer is your only option. I've heard of other people getting them for free.
ok - just try this one out and get back to us. Go to Best Buy. Ask to speak with an installer. Ask the guy if he would call audi and say "I work at best buy and I need to reset the radio code, but its not in the manual, can you help me out" I read somewhere that a guy that used to work for best buy had to do this all the time and the dealer would just give him the code for free - I think all they need is the VIN.
