After disconnecting the battery, I inputted the radio code in the correct way but made a mistake on inputting the number. Now it is displaying 'SAFE' with II at the left hand side of the display. It now won't accept the code, even if I disconnect the battery again.

It's like it has remembered the mistake and won't allow any further operations

Can anyone help?

SAFE II means you are on your second try for entering your radio code. You have to wait an hour I believe with the key out of the ignition before you can try again.

The radio must remain turned on and the key must remain in the ignition during that one hour period

 

if its under warrenty take it to the daeler they can reset the radio[:'(]

 

It worked, ignition off and radio on for one our, it returns to safe mode. Thanks a lot

 

ah ok cool. I could not remember if ignition had to beon or off.
