rattles and squeaks
So i've noticed lately that my car has way more squakes and rattles than it used to (anyone else have this issue?). I have annoying ones like the one that is a really loud buzzing coming from the driver side tweeter between 1500-2k rpm, or less annoying ones like squeakes that come from the door weathstripping, the leather and whatnot else. I was thikning that I might be able to do something about the doors. I checked out the hinges and they all seems to be off kilter based on the little hash markes on the body. I was thikning if i could adjust (make tighter) the seal between the door and the car's body, some of the squakes coming from the weatherstripping might go away. so i bought me a set of 6 point torx bits and realized that the hinges need 12 point. I tried the T40, which was the only one that fit, but not snug and I wasn't about strip either the bolt or the tool. Has anyone messed with this before or has excesive rattle/squakes in their car? let me know
i got sqeauks like i got a live mouse in the trunk. evrytime i start up from stop on 1st and then everytime i hit a bump when one wheel hits first and then a second wheels hits. it's also very loud and i can hear it over music. i have no idea wut i can do about it lol. not one of my major problems right now so im pretending i don't hear it evrytime i do hear it. it'll be the first thing i do when spring comes though. hopefully some1 has some experience and help us lol
hopefully, becasue, i tell ya, im driving 6 in the morning to work, half awake, last thing i wanan be hearing is a constat rattle or a squake. an update, i figured out what tool i need to adjust the doors. its a 12 point Torx, or another name for it:
