Default Rear bearing noise 1997 A4 quattro

I had the rear bearing replaced about 3 years ago. It again sounds like it's going bad again. It feels like there's resistencewhen the car is coasting. What could make it go bad so fast? It is a hard thing to replace myself? Is there anything else it could be?

The bearings could have been packed in too tight from being over tq'd. Or they could just be cheapo one's that dont have a long life. Its not hard, takes time and you are usually better off replacing the rear rotors at the same time if you have front trac (fwd) cuz the bearing racesare pressed into the rotors and would he hard to get out. If you have quattro the races arent pressed into the rotors like fwd, andits not hard either, but takes more effort to get the races out of the hub. The hub may even have to be removed and taken to a shop to get the races pressed out and new one's pressed in. Make sense?
