Default Replacing O2 sensors

Ok I have had it. My gas milage is getting redicilious, 248 miles to the tank. Before I could go 370-400. I think my post/pre cat O2 sensors and shot and I am going to replace my fuel filter while I am doing it.

Here is my question, one member was nice and directed me to this link: http://www.carpartswholesale.com/sto...er=4&liter=1.8 . At the bottom of the page there are the O2 sensors but they don't have the clips. I am going to have to use the clips from my current O2 sensors. Has anyone else done this - soldering the wires together? Otherwise I am looking at $250 each.

That is correct sir. I have to go outside and check how many wires my sensors have before I order them.

ATW engines can use the VW precat sensor which happens to be ~$30 bucks.

im only going to say this once, remove the sensor closest to the cat and tie it up above the heat shield " still connected " then blank the hole of the sensor in the exhaust ( blank/plug ) this way the forward sensor cant analyze the rear sensor and give bad readings on the cat hence the car will run well, this only applies if you have more than one sensor, and I have other prov-en ideas to help with power

Yeah that's a greeaaaattt idea. Disable smog related equipment. The post cat sensor only is there to see how the cat is working, it does not adjust the mixture like the pre-cat sensor. Do you just make this stuff up??
