Default Rotors can not be resurfaced - is that true?

One of the Audi technicians at the local dealership told me that the way Audi makes the rotors, they cannot be re surfaced. Is it true? Can they not also be turned cuz they are "uni directional"? Anyone?

I am about to install new brake pads but dont want to install new rotors cuz of money constraints. So I was just gonna have them re surfaced, but until now I am cofused after talking to the audi tech.

Needing help,
Shreyas..

You don't have to resurface them. If they aren't warped then you'll be fine.

Agreed, dealerships are not generally a place to go if you are out of warranty. They rob you.

Is buying brake pads online (either Hawk or PBR/Axxis) and having a brake shop install them, a good idea?
