It looks like the center caps are different. I bought some off ebay for my b5 that looked exactly like the first ones.

 

You have to be careful of the ones on ebay, just make sure they make them in the US or EU as there have been problems with softness.

 

mine are actory RS4's and i think the first ones look like pretty bad replica's.... too thin spokes..

Texas, do you have the 9 spoke 17's on your car now? Are you replacing them? Reason I ask is I've got a couple of curbed wheels that I would like to replace. I don't want to buy just one replica, and I dont' really want to buy all new factory wheel either. If I could fine one or two used wheels, I'd be all about just replacing the two.
