Default satellite radio?

Those that have some kind of satellite radio where did you mount your antenna? I got this XM Radio and really dont want to place it on the roof. The dash dont seem to get good reception.

You'll get better reception if its not inside the car, i always install aftermarket ones on the top center of the trunk lid.

Yea I was trying to see if anyone has a spot other than outside the car, to protect the paint & keep it clean looking.

Alright if you wanna mount it inside the car your gonna have to get creative, you can't have the antenna blocked in anyway like the roof of the car, so your choices are either the dash or the rear shelf.
If you put it on either just make sure you don't have any metal blocking the signal or you will get those stupid black outs or the reciever cutting out which sucks.

I had to put mine on the roof. I tried both the front and rear dash but both gave me horrible reception. So I had no choice. I also though of putting it towards the middle of the trunk lid close to the back window but I didn't like the way it looked. Also I had to run the wire out of rear drivers side door. Through the weatherstripping.

The kit came with this adapter that you place over the antenna wire on the window, then clip the antenna to that. But I only see the defroster lines. I have read that the lines are hidden in the glass at the top but they have to connect to something/somewhere? http://www.hostdub.com/albums/PanEuropean/Antenna_2.jpg

The nav system needs a antenna that seems to be a lot like the xm radio http://images.search.yahoo.com/searc...8&ei=UTF-8

Is the clip that goes to the antenna for getting the signal to the car stereo or to pick up the satelite feed?

Is that not the same?

The instructions are listed as "On-glass FM antenna installation" Its (XM SureConnect Installation)

Ok it seems you need to put both the FM modual on and the antenna for a "Sure connection". I am going to try to mount it behind the grill since its metal and forget about the FM antenna.
