Shifter Movement When Accelerating
Since you didn't mention how much it moves heres what I think. If you have driven other manual cars you'll notice the same thing. The mounts for the motor and tranny on most stock cars are quite flexible to reduce vibrations, noise and it makes things feel softer. The linkage and ball joint also have quite a lot of play in them. All this can be upgraded to reduce the play and stiffen up shifts.
My shifter did the exact same thing. You could even feel it if you had your hand on the ****. There is nothing inherently wrong with your car.
An APR snub mount and JHM short shifter (with linkage upgrade) made this disappear, along with a plethora of other improvements!
The JHM "solid" short-throw shifter is a beautiful piece of machining...I love mine!

The first mod I did for my car was the APR snub. Its easy to do and cheap! I'm not saying that this phenomenon will stop after doing this, but as far as mods go its one of the more straightforward ones I've done. I'd say its a noticable improvement, if not subtle. More "positive" would be the best way to describe it.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Audi mods! It's bloody addictive...get out now while you still can.
