Should I Buy a 2009 A4 3.2FSI

Hello all, I am planning on buying 2009 A4 3.2FSI with 107xxx on it. The car has only had 2 owners and all scheduled maintenance has been done as a certified pre-owned car.

Anyways I am worried as to buying it due to rumors of the "timing chain" or chain tensioner going bad and having to be replaced, which would mean pulling out the whole motor.

Please advise me and i am most grateful for any help :)

I am not saying don't buy the car, but I would look for something that has less miles on it, I would go for something that has 86 thousand to 90 thousand miles on it. you are going to pay a little bit more but you will have more time before you have to replace the timing chain and all the other stuff that require the engine to be removed and taken apart.

I am not sure, but I think the 3.2 chain does not need replacing like in the 2.0. I would check into that further or maybe someone on here might be able to shed additional light.
