what is this part?

OK, after I drove through a parking lot I saw this part on the ground. It is stamped Audi, i don't know if it from my car, but what is it?

It is a 1999 A4 2.8l quattro. Assume I should see where it fell off?

that is the air duct that connects to the alternator, its like an alternator scoop to cool it. take off the splash shield and it fits just to the passenger side of your oil pan. hold on ill get a pic.
