Ok, this is kinda silly.. But, I know one you will now the answer to my question.

As I've been driving around Atlanta, I've noticed some other 2000-2001 1.8T's non Q. But, I have not seen one with the red stripe next to the T on the back of the trunk like mine. Why does mine have the red stripe next to the T? Does it mean that I have the sport package? I don't even know the difference in the sport package compared to the non-sport package.

It's a front wheel, 2001, 1.8T with Tip.

Thanks!

no the red strip only came on the 2001 model when they bumped the hp from 150 to 170 that is the difference all the 2001's had the red strip even the non sport ones

I like the red stripe - I have the sport sterring wheel with the Tip, but I don't know if that means I have the sport package or not.

I agree with clconversion, the horsepower on the 2001 went from 150 to 170. They use the red stripe to signify that change.

RE: Silly Question about 1.8T badge.
My '01 has a the red thiingy on the steering wheel and the on the back trunk next to the T on the 1.8T. Even though I have tip and a sport steering wheel. I don't think I have a sport suspension, especially because I have those ugly 15 inch wheels. The wheels make me look like a total pansy IMHO. If I do have a sport suspension, I think it sucks. That's why I'm looking into a new suspension and wheels.
