Sirius Antena Wire - Need help installing it
Hi there everyone,
I just got a Sirius Satelite radio receiver and I want to install the antena but the problem is that I don't know how to bring the wire from the outside of the car to the receiver inside. The receiver I got is the Xact XTR3CK Visor.
I am trying to bring the wire inside from the back part of the roof above the back winshield. I have a 2002 A4 quattro 3.0.
Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

mount the antenna either on the trunk or on the roof if done on the trunk mount right where the trunk meets the rear window run wire inside the trunk and rotue under the carpet on the inside of the lid and go towards the left or the right i usally go to the side that the factory has the wires on it makes it easyer to hide then when in the trunk run wire behind the carpet on the sides of the trunk then under the back seat then to the side under plastic from there where ever you need to go. as for the roof mount the antenna as close to the rear window as u can run the wire under the rubber seal around the rear window be careful i use a small scerw flat head screw drive with electric tape around the flat end slightly stick the screw driver in between the rubber and body and stick the wire in gap and then hold take flat head screw drive and push down repeat till you get the the trunk opening then repeat all the other steps from here the roof mount is better but it is a little harder to install
Kraylon - Thank You for the fast reply. I got the wire in the rubber between the the body of the gap and where the rubber is. Lokking from the trunk I went around the left side of the window. I got to the bottom now I'm working on how to get the wire in the trunk but I can't seem to find an opening. Do I have to remove the rubber guard where the trunk closes?? or is there an opening that I might be missing?
Thanks again for your quick response.

as for the rubber guard you can lift it up and use a file to file down a groove to run the wire through and then put electrical tape or black strip cault to protect the wire agasint the metal of the car. For anyone else looking to do this you can also use popsicle sticks to push the wire into the space between the rubber seal in the front or rear windshield.
