Default slow rpm drop

whether i'm standing or rolling, rpm drops very slow when I release gas to shift ... 1st to 2nd to 3rd etc...
mmmm i'd say sometimes from 1st to 2nd, i'd wait 1.5-2 seconds before releasing clutch...
I know i need an egr valve job... or a new egr totally.. don't know if it's causing it though...
I've heard of egr doing many things....
funny thing is when the car is cold, rpm drops normally....
if i let it hang in gear decelerating and hit the clutch, it drops normally...
if you think it's my driving, missing the timing(letting go of gas and stepping on clutch) i'm pretty damn sure it's not...
thanks all for the input~

ok first off, if you drive automatic, ignore this stuff cuz you probably won't understand much...
so I'm in first... rev to 3500rpm, then release gas, step on clutch, shift to second, then release clutch to complete the shift...
but you know how you wait til the rpm drops sufficiently til you engage the clutch?? same with from 2nd to 3rd and so forth....
my problem is that the rpm drops really slow... from 3k rpm to 2k rpm, it'll take around 1 full second.....
few things i've noticed was that before the motor is warmed up, rpm drops pretty damn quick....
also when i turn the a/c on, it drops quicker too...
hope this better explains it...

I don't think you even have a problem. Is this happening when your clutch is in, or when it's out? When your clutch isn't engaged, your engine is connected to your drivetrain/wheels, and so your RPM drop slower, because your wheels are still moving, turning the driveshaft instead of the other way around.
