this happened last winter but it was mainly just on the oil cap, now this winter its on my dipstick. if i remember right i did a seafoam clean and that seemed to clear it up. is it normal to have sludge when its real rainy? i do live in oregon....... this time im thinking of doing this ( http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105429 ) but what do you guys think. is it unnecessarily too much?

 

i've had what looks like sludge show up on my oil cap since i bought it 50k miles ago..i did a seafoam treatment a few months ago but that didn't really do anything..my oil is always fine though when i change it out, i've never seen bubbles, coolant, sludge or anything else come out of the drain plug...i don't know for sure but i would say you're fine
