Smelly heater

Smelly heater
We are getting what my partner describes as a rubber/water smell and what I think is a fishy smell inside the car. Someone suggested this is a build up of bacteria in something to do with the heater. Has anyone else had this experience? If so what is the solution please.
TIA for any helpful comments.

RE: Smelly heater
could be incabin filter u may have to change it, if its bacteria u can try to turn the heater on full blast for a while and open all the AC vent that might kill off the bacteria and the smell

RE: Smelly heater
Replace the pollen filter. If the smell remains after replacement and a few minutes of the fan on high, then mold has gotten into the duct sytem. You could try spraying the ducts with a strong Lysol spray and then turning on the fan, but it may need to be professionally cleaned.

I had to spray mine with lysol. You remove the polin filter and spray lysol (scentless) into the track with the fan on high. The dealer also sells some really good stuff. The problem with lysol is it doesn't work that great and the smell comes back.
Usually this smell is a result of turning the car off right after runnning the A/C. If you can try to remember to turn the A/C off like 5 minutes before you turn the car off.
