snub mount GOOD
I know it's been said a million times on this forum, but i can't help repeat it.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SNUB MOUNT GET ONE! I was shocked at how much it helps acceleration/deceleration (when downshifting of course). Really helps get the HP to the ground efficiently.
BEST CHEAP UPGRADE THERE IS! That and a diverter valve (for turbo guys).

looking at the installation .pdf, it seems VERY easy to me. A bunch of screws/bolts/nuts and thats it. The only reason it's 2 hours is because of the **** you have to move to get to it....service position
I personally wouldn't do it if I couldn't do it myself

A snub is like a motor mount on the front of the engine. It looks like a doughnut. It's main job is to reduce driveline shock. Basically every time you shift the engine leaps forward in the engine bay. Adding an aftermarket snub mount makes shifts more smooth.
tightens up the entire driveline ... with amazing results. car puts the HP to the ground soooo much better.
yes, the only trick is not being afraid to pull the front end off. actually, i didn't pull the radiator support panel all the way into "service position", just enough to reach my hand in there and rip out the old mount. pulling the front end into "service position" isn't too hard after you spend a few hours figuring it all out the first time. search the forums for "timing belt" and you'll find the write-up i did re: pulling the front end off. if you use "insuite" in your search you should find it pretty easily.
again ... BEST cheap upgrade you can make! 710N diverter valve (~$35) too for 1.8T'ers ... makes the turbo growl rather than whine ... soooo sweet a sound. can't wait for my Borla to show up one of these centuries.
enjoy!

Wow...I think I have a much faster install technic for you. See the pictures on page 2 of my site: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2040231.
Here is what I did. Raise the front end and put it on two jack stands. Remove the lower engine panel from underneath. Put a hydraulic jack underneath the front of the engine and jack it up until it just raises the engine about 4 or 5 mm. Then you can take the bracket off the engine with three bolts. This way you don't have to remove anything from the front. You also don't have to remove the bracket from the front of the car.
Take the snub off the snub mounting bracket (this will be easy - the stock one is so soft). Make sure you get the new snub to match the way the old one came off (look inside both snubs for lines - match them the same way). It takes a little work to out the new one on as it is MUCH stiffer material - but once you get it started you can get it pretty easy.
Put the snub back into the front bracket, reattach the snub bracket to the engine and tighten the bolts firmly. Lower the engine which is still on the hydraulic jack.
That's it. Easy. And you will have a hard time getting the smile off your face the first time you drive it after the install because the feel is SO different!

That link didn't work for some reason. I hope this is better. Sorry if this doesn't work. Good luck!
