So, if I want to install this combo.....(Calling all Audiophiles)
So, if I want to install this combo.....
Would it be a royal pain in the ****, or is it fairly straight forward?
I am quite aware that the quality isn't exactly top-notch, but for the price, it can't really be beat.
Check it out here: Super Low Priced Combo
Okay you brutal SOB's, I get the point.

Long ago, when bass meant something to me, I was stacked with 4 x 1000w Orion Extreme 12's and a Phoenix Gold 2250 Amp.
I'm well aware that the quality of the combo in my post is one step away from being a steaming pile of shiiite, but I'm an old man now and if I can get cheap bump for $20 - why kick me in the *****?
It would all be stealth anyways, so if it goes boom boom boom, I'm satisfied.
It was more or less a question of whether or not a simple Amp+Sub combo is an easy install on the 'ol Audi.

The install is cake man, no probs there but if you were in to stereo back in the day why in gods name would you even think about that POS set up, it will do absolutly nothing for you, you would be better off giving that $20 to some homeless guy so he can buy beer........ Take the time and spend a bit more to get a decent set up, i mean you can make a good pkg for under 150 man, and it doesnt need to be new, the older amps are great and are better than most the trash out there today
I agree. I had 2 PPI Art Series running my mids and back dash 8" Kicker comps.
I prefer the old stuff to the new, for the most part.
Having said that, I'm just not impressed with the sound output from the Symphony set-up and I was looking for the cheapest, filthiest, easiest way to change my opinion.
Even if it claims 300w - and it only put out 150w with a terribly underpowered Amp.....it's still a 10" inch sub, in a box, with an Amp, for only 20bucks.
I'm not entering it into a competition or anything like that, and the set-up won't be seen by anyone's eyes but my own.
I'm simply trying to determine how difficult it would be to run an aftermarket amp and sub only - and doing it from the factory headunit.
