some code help here
 

alright i just went out and ran the vag for the first time since my timing belt install and this is what i got.

17521- oxygen (lambda) sensor,B1 S1 Internal Resistance too high

16795- Secondary air injection system: incorrect flow detected
P0411-35-00- -

ok these i have cleared before and have come back, my guess is either my oxygen sensor is shot or the air pump is. Could the o2 sensor be causing the secondary air pump code?

this is a new one and i expected something along these lines because my cars heating system was acting weird when i first drove it after replacing the coolant.

17704- Error in Mapped cooling system (check temp sensor and thermostat)
P1296-35-10 - -- intermittent

could it be the thermostat is stuck or something?

also does the bentley manual have the code list in it? i ordered one and it should be here saturday

thanks in advance for the help and sorry for the cut and paste codes my computers battery dies if i unplug it and i we dont have wireless

Go buy a new coolant sensor from ECS Tuning for $5. If the thermostat was stuck the car would overheat.


You need to check for vacuum leaks.

You're probably going to need to replace the O2 sensor too. I'd replace them as a pair though. You'll see better fuel economy!

You might have air in the cooling system. Remove the three screws from the reservoir. Lift it with engine running and heat fully on. This should bleed the system.

well i cleared the codes and will vag it sunday, but a friend of mine told me there are to bleeding techniques for our car since they arent self bleeding.

1.) there is a accordian hose buy the battery, pull it back and there are 2 hoses, one on passenger side has a hole in it, you pull it back just over the nipple till coolant squirts out and i did that

2.) the second one is to bleed air out of the block and ther is a hose with a 5 mm screw on it and loosen it and it bleeds the air from the block, but i cant find it so i am waitnig for my bentley to come, although my car is not acting weird anymore so i am hoping everything worked it self out.
