I currently have a stock 5-speed manual 2003 1.8t A4 machine, and I absolutely love it. The only thing I don't like is that when you start it, there's really no sound, it just starts. So I was wondering what would be the best way to make the car sound a little bit sportier without spending a ton of cash (and no rice exhaust obviously). Thank you all very much for taking the time to read this and let me know what you think is best.

 

a cheap way would just be just change the muflers if you didnt want to do a full exhaust, magnaflow sounds really good, not tunnerific at all would be a bit more free flowing then stock and it would give you more sound.. but i would just get a full cat-back

get a universal magnaflow muffler i got it on my b5 its great. its not loud its the same as stock just deeper sound. I love it if u want something loud then i dont recommend this cause its not loud.

 

airbox mod will make a turbo car sound louder, as you'll actually hear the turbo. Otherwise, short of rolling down your windows and revving to all hell when yous tart it up, change the mufflers.

Haha, yep. I'm really liking all this newfound appreciation for Borla. I was revving mine last night for someone who wanted to hear and they were blown away.
