Speaker mounting depth?
 

What's the mounting depth and speaker size in the front and rear doors of a 2004 A4? Also, what size can the rear deck accomodate? Thanx....

There is almost no room behind the door speakers in the front doors because one of the window regulator guides is directly behind the speaker. I have seen people get away with making a custom mounts for the speakers and move the speakers closer to the door panel but that can bite you in the ass if you puncture the cone of the speaker. Just take the old speakers out and measure the depth of the of them, the stock ones are pretty deep.

I don't mean to be rude, but how about taking 5 minutes and pulling out the speaker you want to replace and sticking a measureing tape in there? REALLY not TOO difficult.

Hmmm. Welll the reason I havn't dun it as yet is the fact that as i ave said, this car is a fixer (bought it damaged), right now I'm rebuilding it and i jst wanna put everything on it as I'm building it back. I wanna order everything and just put it on one time. So yea, it's gonna be hard to use a measuring tape to measure the depth of the door, being that i don't have the door as yet.....
