Speed limiter????
 

Why the hell does a Audi have a speed limiter....?? I hit the damn thing going home. in stoped my momentum at around 130-135ish. anyone else have this piece-O-sh!t or am Ijust that unlucky

Almost every car in the US has one unless its been modified and removed. The point I would guess is to maybe keep people from killing more than 10 other people at that speed, i dunno it was just a guess. I really have no clue and have never hit it cause I haven't had a desire to yet.

My a4 tops out at around 140. But it sure gets there fast.....:D

Even your familiar Hondas and American cars you build "hardcore" engines for have rev limiters buddy.[sm=icon_ladiesman.gif]

Im assuming you have a stock or near stck 1.8T. Probably took you forever to hit 135mph where the stock ECU's speed limiter is at.

Mine is drag limited are the B6's limited by computer?

Hey Sydeshow.

No shit cars have speed limiters, I just didn't expect a car made for the Autobahn to have one. And no Honda Integra/or Civic SI that I've ever worked on had a Speed limiter.. They're gear ratios are uassualy between 4.35-4.95.. Dont forget they have no torque, they have to get of the line somehow. Which genrally means no top end anyway with that kinda gear. I hit the rev limiter not a speed limiter in my Hondas. And are you also saying that Muscle cars, and highly modded Drag cars have speed limiters...

i remember figuring it out before... I have the APR Chip so my redline is 7250rpm. at ~3625rpm in 5th gear i'm pretty damn close to 80mph. Times that by 2 and the top speed should be ~158mph-160mph...

140mph, not bad.

oh and clutch-b5 my honda has loads of torque buddy!!! 170+bhp w/ 160 ftq....SOHC + Webers [8D] haha
