SPRINGS
i kno theres a thread about this but i need help fast...i got intrax lowering springs and plannin to have a person install it fo me for 120$ but im plannin to install them on my non sport shocks. my car is 1.8t quattro 97 and ill have enough money after two months since bills. i was wondering if they would even last that long since its non sport. but nothing major will happen except rough ride right?
well the springs wont wear out if thats what you are asking?? and as for the shocks they will last around 6months to a year depending on the way you drive, the springs and sport shock combo will give you a somewhat rough ride but in all reality when you get aftermarket shocks the ride will more likley be even more rough depending on what brand you choose. the harder the ride the better you handle (to a certain degree)

worst case scenario, your shocks blow and your car bounces for a few weeks...not too big a deal, but you'll look like you're riding on chopped springs, not sure i'd do it.

I think you've never drive a car lowered 2.5" with stock shocks. As soon as you lowered your car start to bonce. You dont need to wait till blows..
There should be a different between normal and sports shock right ? make sence ?
Do not try it, otherwise you will end up like spending more money than you planned.
Wait and go with cupkit or coilovers.
This is an audi, not a civic or acura. I dont wanna see a lowered audi and bouncing around.
