Stall @ 3900 RPM normal?
My A4 Quatro, Automatic, with tiptronic is "stalling" at the top end of 2nd gear at 3900 RPM's. You can actually see the needle and feel the car "cut out" @ 3900 and then it will advance to 4100 RPM's and shift to 3rd. It only does it when I accelerate at a medium to rapid pace (when the RPM's reach 3900 in 2nd gear)
My local Audi dealer has had the car for a week and put two moduels in the car totaling $4,000, (under warrenty) and the problem is not fixed. Now,Audi tells me because of the cars smart transmition it is supposed to do this and is just adjusting to my driving habits. I'm calling BS, anybody heard of this problem. |

RE: Stall @ 3900 RPM normal?
Codes all came back okay from the dealer. I think they are trying to get out of replacing the trani under warranty. Thanks for the post.
