My buddies A4's engine works great but everytime he puts it into gear it stalls out....(its an Automatic)...(engine idles fine in park and neutral, trannys original).reving it real high and shifting is the only way we got home. any ideas?

Sounds like a bad t/c any check engine light? codes?
