Starting problem...Engine light!!??? HELP
Ok, I got out from school, it was freaking freezing out, started my 97 A4 kept the engine running for about 2 minutes. Then had to turn off the engine for 1 minute to get out of the car and do something. Came back and tried to start but would not start when i turned the key and held for 3-4 seconds. Put the key back in and turned and started the car perfectly fine, but the check engine light came on. I drove it for over and hour total on the high way going to and from a place. The check engine light shut off after driving for a while and hasn't come back on.
I was afraid something was wrong with the engine. Or did the light come on just because of that one failed start? Plus I also think that the cold weather affected my car starting up. So please share your knowledge about this stuff and the A4's warning computer system. Thanks in advance.

well sometimes the cel likes to come on for a bit, just to keep you aware of how easily these cars get messed up.
but seriously, im sure it wasnt anything major, your cel should come on for a bit after you stall/car wont start...again, nothing to be worried about.
