Default Startup prob

Hey everyone, I need some advice. My car has been having some startup problems as of late. For the most part I can't find anything consistent about the startup trouble except for when I fill up my gas tank, as I get ready to leave the station, it takes me a few times to get it started, I end up having to keep the key turned for a good 5-6 seconds and it kind of sputters till it starts. Any ideas?

coolant temp sensor
or
possibly your gas cap is leaky and not allowing the system to pressurize immediately. That should throw a code though.

dead battery will produce a repeated clicking sound when you turn the key.

My car has been doing the same thing. Otherwise it works fine. If the engine is stopped and I remove the cap it and put it back on, the car will start fine. It is only when I put fuel in that I can't start the engine.

I have been just keeping the engine running when I put in gas.

Let me know if you find out what this is.

How about the valve on top of the air filter housing? Could be sticking and causing the engine to flood? Does it start more easy with the gas pedel to the floor?

--> evap purge valve stuck open

I'll check. This ONLY happens when I put gas in the car. Otherwise, no CEL and starts first time under any other conditions.
