startup trouble...
My car doesn't start sometimes...
the starter goes, but the engine doesn't start for a bit... don't think weather affects it at all.. rain or shine, happens pretty randomly... I'd try pumping the gas pedal and once it was at like 100 rpm so i floored it and it started properly... idles slightly rough too... possible causes? thanks for all input |
RE: startup trouble...
is it just at startup? once it's running you don't see any problems at all?

RE: startup trouble...
next time it wont start, put your pedal to the floor and turn the ignition and start the car.
Do you see any dark smoke from your car after you start it? Sounds like it may be a coolant temp sensor issue to me - it malfunctions and tells your ecu the wrong info... It could say the car is already warm when it is actually cold, so the ecu sends less fuel than required during ignition... Or it could say the engine is cold when it is actually already warm, thus flooding the car by sending too much fuel on ignition. Could also be bad gas, leaky injectors... |
RE: startup trouble...
would a coolant temp sensor cause problems on a cold start though brrman?
