steering problem...

Default steering problem...

i notice that when my audi is at stop, the steering get to be really tough to turn and makes sqeaking noise. But when the car is moving, the steering is fine. This happen on and off... anyone know what's going on?

sounds like you are low on power steering fluid go to your local dealer and pick up a bottle of G 002000 hydraulic fluid

then you might have a pump that is worn out is it leaking any fluid ?

Are our pumps contolled by a belt/pully or electrically...

if it is pump/pulley then at idle/low RPMS the pump may not be pumping enough fluid through... and when you speed up the pressure increases... could be a leak in the pump or a hose

OMG i'm so frickin gald there's a post about this. I've got the same problem and the dealer wanted 250$ to FIND OUT what the problem was.... I told them to hold on while i bent over.

clicking noise could be ball joints, no?
the squeaking could be bushings also...
would you describe it more as a loud whining noise? or 2 balloons rubbing together?
