Default Steering Wheel

I got my alarm/remote starter done about 2 weeks about and everything works fine... The steering wheel seems a little loose, theres some play in it if I jerk it a little... Well I was driving to pick up a friend of mine and my airbag light comes on? Does anyone know if there might of been a cable that got disconnected since the steering wheel is a little loose? I was trying to take it off but I tried using a philips screw driver but I think it's a diffrent type of screw does anyone know what type of screw it is and how can I get this thing off? And why my air bag light might of came on? My air bags are fine and intact.1997 A4 1.8t is what I have, any help is appreciated.....

it uses a torx bolt(T30) and multipoint socket... you will need to take the steering wheel back off to make sure everything is properly alighned and connected. BE SURE TO DISSCONECT THE BATTERY BEFORE STARTING! and be careful when connecting battery back together... no one should be sitting inside the cab.
let me know if you have more questions... -jet

More likely the spiral cable broke if the steering wheel was improperly tightened, if it had been left disconnected the light would have been on as soon as it first started. Is the steering wheel straight when driving straight? Does the play in the steering wheel happen if you pull on it or if you are turning it?

I don't have one of those so I'm going to see if I pick one up tomorrow and take it out... when I'm driving everything is fine andthe steering wheel isstraight it's only if I play with it like move it or pull on it a little that it feels loose...
