I am seriously looking to buy a '99 silver A4tqm but for some reason it has the 4 point steering wheel. I found a 3 spoke steering wheel with no airbag (from a '99), it has the cover. Can I take the airbag from the 4 point steering wheel and swap it into the 3 spoke steering wheel?? How hard is this to do?

 

i want a replacment for my car. I just have teh 3 spoke. NOthing is wrong iwth it but the leather is all craped up.

 

4 spoke wow I have only seen that once in a 98+ a4 very rare I think it could be done but you will need to change the air bag and everything

 

i have no clue if the air bag swap will work but my best suggestion to find out is check to see if the air bags have the same part number(call dealer) or a body shop might know?

 

like I said the airbags are different and they will need to be changed

 

3 spoke is where its at .

 

no kidding, it looks 100 million times better. So no one has actually done this yet?
