Stereo Install Question

^^^ Makes sense.. I thought you would want to bypass the blose amp.

If you utilize the right adapter and use the low level pre-outs of an aftermarket head unit, 2 ohm or 4 ohm speakers won't matter; you'll be using the factory Bose amplifier still is why. And the guys at Circuit must've been dumb because I work there and I ordered one for a buddy in Milwaukee the other day.

This has always been my theory on that: If you want to put forth the effort to bypass or better yet, replace the Bose amp in the car, why the hell wouldn't you want to replace the speakers too, then? So personally even if that were the case, I don't think it'd be that big a deal. But most customers I talk with just want to replace the stereo, and using the right harness works out great in those cases so they don't need to spend more than they want to and just get a new head unit in there. If you want a new head unit and you want new speakers, then I'd just re-wire the car and put in new speakers, end of story.
