Where can you get new trim to fill in the space when taking out the stock HU? I have a kenwood excelon double din that needs to be installed and would just like some pointers and to hear the difficulty rating on this, like how the wiring would work out with the stock speakers and all that. It is a 2001 audi A4.

ask your audio shop if they can do it, if you got the spare cash. basically just fashoin a wood board to fit the double din and then fit in your dash, then vynil it, and your done!

I just cant believe they dont sell costum mounts so you can change out the factory double din and not have to worry bout costumizing the **** yurself, jus wish there was somthing that was a perfect fit.

 

they might sell a custom mount on metra.com, they probably do. installing a double din radio might be a b*itch, especially wen u have a bose system, having a bose system means that u will have to locate the amp and do an amp bypass. then run new speakers wires to the front of the car and hook it up to ur radio aftermarket radio harness but good luck and if i had to rate how difficult it is, on a scale from 1 to 10 i would say 15
