Strange Bell/Ringing sound

When my car is on and the engine is running, standing outside the car sometimes I hear a bell like sound coming from the engine bay. I listen and looked but I'm still not sure of what it is. It would come on for like 5-10 secs and then go away. Anyone ever heard this sound coming from your car? Should I be worry about anything? I hope it's not the turbo.

This morning coming to work in the rain, My ABS and BRAKE lights came on for a few secounds. I wasn't braking or anything i was probably going 40-50 mph. I hope that nothing is wrong. I'm going to check all my brakes this weekend to make sure it's all ok.

Ringing could be a lose wastegate actuator arm on the turbo. Its not uncommon. The other not uncommon thing you might have going on, as far as the BRAKE and ABS light go, is the abscontrol module under the hood can get moisture in it and cause it to fail. Its not a huge deal if you can live without the ABS function and look at a couple lights in your gauge cluster. But check your fluid level to be safe.

I am having trouble seeing what you mean by "bell sound".

Its a ringing? Or tapping? or clunk? or like "ding - ding- ding"?

Try more detail, or maybe record and post a sound clip.

I feel like I had a similar problem in my previous 1.8T. Does the ringing go away once you turn off all climate controls?

Ya its very common. $3k?!?! GEEEEEEEEZUZ... You can get a rebuilt ABS module for like $150 or $200 or something like that... Its not complicated to replace either.

He told me either 1k for a "rebuild" or 3k for a brand new module.

And wanted to replace my clutch with an OEM one for 1500.. [:@]
