I had my car at the dealer 2 weeks ago when it was misfiring due to a vacuum leak and failure of the secondary air pump.
It was making a 'PSSSHHHHH' sound and loosing alot of boost.
It started up last night agian [:@]
The car has a slight shake at idle and the rpm needle bounces a bit. I am so pissed with this car.. I love it, but HATE it!
They wont take my till tuesday.
btw its an 03 1.8t APR 93 octane

 

must dealer ships are always backed up usually u will have to make an appointment
did u hit the chip from the dealer

Yes I have APR security lockout feature.
They know nothing.

 

APR security lockout feature? Does that basically hide the fact of having a chip? Let me know cuz I'm wanting to get a chip for my new '04 3.0 w/ ultra sport package.

 

if i had a V6 i wouldnt chip its not work it in my opinion
but if u got the money go for it
and most chip companies have ways to hide your upgrade from the audi dealers

 

why wouldn't a chip be worth it? how much are they for this audi? And if I wasn't ready for intake/exhaust would a basic K&N air filter work for the time being?

 

well the chip for the V6 only add like 10hp and it is 400 big ones
