Sunroof sticking

I was wondering if there is any way to oil or grease to sunroof tracks, or any other way to fix it, when i open my sunroof the further it goes back the harder it is for it to open, it kind of studders when opening, plus it is kind of slow. I dont think it is the clips you can get from ecs because it still opens and closes fully, but it is just kindof annoying. Thanks for any help.

you can grease your tracks, I do mine about once a year, don't put to much you son't want globs of grease falling off where you can't get it.

actually...mine sometimes makes the sound of plastic snapping when i just chage the
switch to the sunroof lifting a bit (not sliding off)...i couldn't figure out why it's doing
that...almost like some plastic in there was about to break while opening and closing...
what do u think's up with taht?

Well I sprayed a heavy coat of silicone on the track and i tried to get back as far as i could, but it seems like it made it worse, and now it gets stuck and stops before it opens completely. I think i am going to try and grease the tracks, but what kind of grease should i use? When i was spraying the silicone i noticed that there was already grease on the tracks, and it was yellowish in color.

White LITHIUM grease.. do not buy a petroleum based grease as it can eat away at plastics, I had the same problem, and I just tried mine.. working good.. (I greased it like a few months ago, but I havent opened it due to fear/winter)

be sure to clean all old grease off as some do not mix at all and will turn to a hard wax like craaap
