David K what am I finding our for u let me know

 

They just took the head off of the TT that I might be getting this turbo off of and WOW this guy must have been turning 10,000 must have miss shifted there are 2 valve heads sitting on top of piston #3 with a whole lotta shaving in there to i just hope that none of those shavings made there way into the turbo

 

O no sorry guys but I was also on vwvortex looking for info on this turbo swap from the TT and II found out that it will fit but it is impossible to tune WTF I guess i'm back to looking at kits again looking at the awe kit now this was going to save me like a grand o well i guess i should worry asbout fixing the car before I do any more performance mods though

 

what model K04 is it?

what do you mean impossible to tune? its a Ko4 all you need is software right?

 

no the TT has a k04-25 the one for the a4's is a k04-15 I don't know the difference kinda looking around to see if these guys know what they are talking about but right now I know it will bolt up but it will run like ****

 

its the same as a 04-15 just has bigger inlet and outlets i saw a comparrison somewhere and i cant remember where. who told you thata K04-25 will run like ****? It should run better than a K03. just get Giac software and i think youll be just fine. i wish i would have checked i think my k04 is a k04-25 and it runs fine on GIAC software. im trying to build a turbo kit fora friend using a K04-25 also

either that or TAP software or DSR (I'm considering changeing too) GIAC software (What i am currently running) Dahlbach (what i wish i could aford to run)

Did vortex give you a reason why it couldnt be tuned? To me it just seems not to make any sense. It bolts up, it runs fine with out software. I guess you just cant maximize its powere like you can with the "15"

 

No I didn't get a reason they just told me that it wasn't possible to ture the k04-25 to the A4

 

go back and ask why and where they got there info from and ask to check their references
