Default Supercharger

I have been doing some research on the forum... And I dont get it. Why is everybody saying that you cant supercharge a 12V 2.8 Liter?? Are you guys just seriously uninformed or what? The sad thing is that I almost started believing you guys. Until I went and talked to my budy (who is my mehanic) and he laughed and said go look out side and tell me you cant do it... so i did. And to my belief there it was a 12V that i know is supercharged. The only problem with that car is the owner swapped out Fuel Injectors and caught the car on fire. the car is still sitting there, But he took the supercharger with him.. I have seen this actually in person before he took the SC back to his house. The intake manifold is still there so its more proof. Has anyone else Found a supercharged 12V because its not like this one was custom made or anything.... Let me know

Thanks

Are you sure it wasn't custum cus You can hire out companies that make OE quailtiy parts that are anything but OE. I think what everyone is saying is that the 12v does not have a readilly adapable supercharger on the market for it. I personaly have already make plans to make one for my car when I get another dayly driver.

actually if you swap the heads the 30V will work for the 12V. its just the 30V s/c puts too much air into the engine and the 12 valves are not adequate enough to flow the air

This post is rediculous. Redgoat, your post is total BS. Why don't you tell me why EVERY major tuner that has been asked to supercharge the 12V has given up. Why every company asked to make a chip has given up. David 30V heads will not swap onto the 12V block, they don't line up.

Anything is possible, but its not like it would be cost effective. Jesty knows the most about the 2.8ers and he will be able to tell ya why you cant do it.

Even one of the guys I know who works for Eaton I believe said it isn't really possible. The cost would far surpass the cost of buying a 30V and installing a PES kit.
