symphony II display limitations?
I have a 2006 a4 with sirius sat radio. The display on the head unit(symphony II I believe) seems to be limited in the amount of characters that can be displayed. Is there a way to scroll to see the display that normally runs off the right of the screen? Or another way to increase the characters on the screen. Have already spoken with audi usa and bose, both were no help.
Thanks, Dave |
RE: symphony II display limitations?
Usually theres an arrow next to a button on the screen that allows you to scroll thru the display. Do you have a picture of the radio? Preferablly with the condition you describe shown. One of the buttons on the radio should allow you to scroll thru the text. You may also want to check the owners manuel.

RE: symphony II display limitations?
Thanks for your response, I don't actually have a pic of the condition of the radio but imagine you are listening to a football game and displayed is
pit 34 oak because the screen is too narrow the second score does not get dispayed. I have read the manual and there is nothing about this problem and the dealer and bose can't seem to help either. Someone else has had to have had this frustration as well. gotta be a "secret" trick to increase or scroll through display |
RE: symphony II display limitations?
I have the same radio in my 2006 A4, without the Sat reception, and the display scrolls the FM information automatically.
You can turn off the display information with the RDS button (lower right corner, above the Scan button). Then, the message "RDS off" is displayed--which doesn't seem to be your situation. Push the RDS button a few times and see if that doesn't reactivate the display auto scroll feature. Good Luck. |
RE: symphony II display limitations?
It reminds me of an old joke.
"We're running out of time, so we just have time for this afternoon's baseball scores:.... 6 to 4, 3 to 2 and tied at one." :D |
RE: symphony II display limitations?
Tried the RDS button but it had no effect on the scrolling of the text. May only work with the regular radio since it functions through radio waves. Any other suggestions?
