I rotated the engine a little bit clockwise after removing the upper timing cover on my 1.8t.I have not touched anything else, I just wanted to c if it moved and it did a little. Is it safe for me to start my car now or do I need to reach TDC before I start my car?I am so confused..

as long as your timing belt is on you should be fine

everything should have turned together just like it would if your car was running
