Default Testpipe time!

Allrighty, after carefully reading the SCCA rules book, I can put a testpipe in my car and stay in stock class! Are all 2.5" testpipes stainless the same? (Yeah, I know I have to get the Audi 1.8T one, and not the VW one because the engines are mounted differently) And does the trick with using a spark plug anti-fouler to trick the computer from throwing a CEL really work?

hey, thats good to know, since I plan to run some AX this year, and am considering a testpipe as well since my downpipe already needs replaced.

Yes the non-fouler mod works. Just get the cheap testpipe, no need for chrome.

The downpipe isn't allowed. Headers and downpipe must be stock, but you're allowed an aftermarket catback system. That sucks for us since it goes turbo, cat, downpipe...

well, what I mean is my stock downpipe with the flex section in it is broken and needs replaced. How could it not be allowed, its stock?

Oh, no, the downpipe has to remain stock, you can buy a new one, if it's OEM. But, you can do whatever you like to the rest of your exhaust.

Right, putting on stock downpipe, and testpipe instead of cat.

How did you fare against the others in your class, or have you run yet? What part of the country are you in?

I ran my A4 for the first time last weekend and placed fourth out of the novices. I got my *** kicked by a new Mini Cooper-S, and everyone running GS...

BUT! I also raped the overconfident punk driving the Street Touring WRX STi, and I would have also beaten the kid driving the Evo MR if he didn't suddenly learn how to drive... I'll be better once I get some better rubber on it, and adjust my camber in the front.

I want to get my exhaust/TP in, before I run it.

Ohio would be a bit of a drive for me, I'm on the south shore of MA. I've posted about it in the Pro Racing forum that no one reads, apparently. I honestly don't get people who want to do all these mods to their cars and then all they do is illegal street racing anyway
