Are there any functional spoilers?

This came to me today on the track, my car sucks! I need a bit of downforce to hold the car down. I don't want some gaudy "look at me" til fin, just something which works..

Thanks

At least this one has some Audi background and not just a aluminum park bench you see on some. Not that you would ever catch me dead with this on my car.

Are you doing 150 mph plus?

If not it may not be down force as your problem.

what tires, suspension and diff do you have.

haha! Turning to a spoiler to help keep your car going where you want it... *sigh*

Good times! :)

As mentioned above, tires, suspension, air pressure, sway bars... many things to consider before dumping money on a plastic tumor.

then your issue is traction, body roll, throttle response, and about 500 hours of driving courses.

start with good rubber, awesome suspension, better swaybars, and a chipped car.

then drop about 7 grand on a week long driving school. then repeat that for about 6 months.

Lets take a couple of things into consideration.

He is going 150 mph. Driving a stock quattro (i know it is a strech but the wing will not be of much benifit till 150) and he as the wing mounted in the rear.

Now it stands to reason he'd actually loose stability because our cars are 60/40 front bias .. by adding down force to the rear he will likely remove it from the front wheels unless he applies one of thes bad boys to his hood.
He can get around that by installing a stasis CD, but I think the options i mentioned before are significantly more advantageous to him than a 350 dollar wing and a 500 dollar CD.
