first thing is there's no blow-off valve in audi's. audi's use whats called a diverter valve. it reciriculates the air instead of blowing it into the atmosphere. this is crucial since audi's use a close loop turbo system. a BOV will ruin it. after chipping it tho some people have been able to use hybrid BOV's with no problems. as long as u take car of the 1.8T it will last u well into the 100k range and i've seen some hit 200k. a4's really aren't quarter horses and are much faster on the highway. chip and intake should get you into the high 14's if it's a manual. another couple hundred bucks should get you down into the low 14's.

 

I getting a car so that i can keep up with my friends. lol So im up against a 2004 GTO, 2006 dodge neon SRT-4, evo 7, Rx7 TT. and 350z. I know it wont keep pace, but its also more then half the price of there cars. theres a track up the highway here where we race, and as long as i can somewhat keep in there rear veiw mirrow. can have the CPU reprogramed to push more boost like you can on the volvo closeloop turbo?

 

LOL, you better get a turbo manual, then be ready to drop a big turbo in there if you want to keep up with that crowd!!!

****, the 350 is 300hp, the rxTT has got some ponies as well I would think, you need to buy a faster ride, or get a big turbo kit!!!!

At least you'll keep up with them in the twisties!

 

thats a tough crowd to keep up with. on the highway especially in turns you'll keep up after a few mods. theyll probly still beat you but it wont be too horribly bad. my advice: get a k04. there are other turbos out there that are faster but this is by far the cheapest to put in and it adds quite a nice little boost of power. k04, chip, intake, exhaust, dv, 5 bar FPR, bigger injectors, and a boost controller and you'll be lookin at them in your rearview, well most of them.

 

The Rx7tt has alot of hp..lol the GTO is pushing 400+hp and the SRT4 is somewhere in the low 300s...yeah, im thinking maybe about a BMW M3 or a S4. There cars are there pride... mines my house..lol so its a fair trade...

 

ya if u can afford the s4, absolutely defintely go with that. add a couple mods and start raping your friends on the highway (<---came out kinda wrong but u know what i mean)

 

i just cant find any near where i live that are worth the money.

 

take a trip. fly or get a friend to take you to the s4 and then drive it back. u will LOVE the drive back
