Default Tiptronic "sticky"

My tip wont shift gears unti li push really hard on the **** ... could it be that the magnets in there are screwed up?

Anyone know how to take apart the shift **** section

dealer said either coin fell under it or previous owner spilled something on it but wont know till they take it apart - anyway i can take this **** apart

alright well leave a few messages

i have a b6 a4 - if i can take apart the shifter crap and look around (take out the coins and clean any spills then they can cover rest with warranty - i dun feel like paying 600+ :/)

i have a 2003 - so i guess its ALL of that ... should i just let it go to dealer?

i had the same thing happen on my b6, one of the wires for the tip was in between the plastic plate that slides with the gear shift and the top cover so it was making it hard to shift but i got lucky and it was under warranty.

It should just be the part about removing the cover, not removing the entire center console.

also isn't the tip supposed to shift from 1st to 2nd when u start moving? my tip doesn't shift at all .... and it starts makign noises at 3k rpm
